How we write and check this site
This site gives information people use to make decisions about surgery and about money. That earns a higher standard than marketing copy, so here is how the pages are made, who checks them and what we refuse to do.
Who writes it and who reviews it
Pages are drafted by our coordination team in Medellín and reviewed before publication by Dra. Olga González, who leads the medical side of HealthBridge. Treatment pages carry that review in their structured data, so it is machine-readable and not just a claim in a footer.
We are a facilitator, not a clinic. Nothing here is a diagnosis or a treatment plan, and no page can tell you whether you are a candidate. That takes a consultation with the surgeon who would operate.
What we cite, and what we refuse to cite
Clinical claims on our treatment pages are backed by named sources, each with a direct link and a line saying which claim it supports: MedlinePlus and the U.S. National Library of Medicine, the FDA, NIDDK and the National Eye Institute, peer-reviewed studies through PubMed, OrthoInfo, the ADA, and INVIMA as the Colombian regulator.
Two rules behind that list. First, every source is opened and read before it is cited — we do not cite from memory or from a summary. Second, when a source does not actually support what we want to say, we drop the claim rather than stretch the source. Some pages carry two references instead of five for exactly that reason.
Prices
Our prices are our own quotes, and we say so. The U.S. figures we compare against are not ours to invent: there is no official source for U.S. procedure prices, so we built our own survey of clinics that publish what they charge, and we publish the method, the sources and the figures we deliberately excluded.
You can read it at how we check U.S. prices. In October 2026 that study made us lower nine of our own comparison figures, because the numbers we had been using were higher than what a U.S. patient actually pays. The savings we advertise went down as a result. We would rather publish a smaller number we can defend.
Dates
The "last updated" date on a page changes when the content of that page changes — it is derived from the page itself, not stamped on every rebuild. A page that has not been rewritten keeps its real date, even if that makes it look old. Freshness you can fake is not freshness.
What we will not publish
- Invented statistics, success rates we cannot source, or figures copied from competitors.
- Patient photographs, names or stories without written permission for that specific use.
- Reviews or ratings we have not actually received. Where we have no verified reviews, we show none.
- Claims that a procedure is risk-free, permanent or guaranteed.
When we get it wrong
If you find an error — a price that does not match, a claim a source does not support, a broken fact — write to info@healthbridgemedicaltourism.com. We correct it on the page rather than quietly deleting it, and if the correction changes something material we say what changed.
Found something that looks wrong?
Tell us. A reader catching an error is worth more to us than the error staying up.
